Safety publications are developed under the auspices
of the Safety Management Group (SMG). Common
topics (e.g. aviation or human factors) are developed by
corresponding committees. In addition, SMG establishes
specific working groups for the duration of each project.
Most of its efforts are focused on developing guidance
on key safety issues, for example to help users to meet
regulatory requirements or share good operations
practices. Some publications are produced in collaboration
with other organisations, e.g. HSE, API and Oil and Gas UK.
